Day 40 in room 1!

Day 40 was just before the Easter break, so in true Easter fashion, we had a EGG HUNT!!!!

The Easter Bunny had left us a letter saying how wonderful we had all been, and that he had hidden 40 eggs in the Library!

And of course, we fair shared them :)

Then ate our share :)

Term 1 Science

Just a quick recap of Term 1's 'Fizzing and Foaming' science topic!

Boy, did we have fun! Science was all about exploring change and observing reactions when various household items were mixed...

We had a focus on acids and carbonates and the reactions which we witnessed between the two.

We made our predictions, enjoyed the exciting experiments, and used wonderful scientific language to describe what we saw!

It was great to see you all engaged and excited about science. I cant wait to see what Term 2 has in store for us :)

I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday! I am sure enjoying a nice break at home with my puppy :)

Just a quick note to parents/whanau/extended family - is there anyone who would be able to assist with the 'Fun Ferns' netball workshops? Room 1 will be having training sessions at 9:45-10:30 every day of the first week back. Appreciate any help we can get :)
